An introduction to our new Account Manager, Laura
We’re delighted to welcome our new Account Manager, Laura Thomas, to the High-Rise team as we continue to grow and win new accounts despite the challenging external environment.
We are still only a relatively small agency – but we have big ambitions. Our aim is to recruit and nurture the very best strategic communications talent. Which is why, earlier this month, we brought young PR professional Laura onboard with us full-time as an Account Manager.
Since leaving Manchester-based tech and B2B PR agency, Fourth Day PR, back in April of this year, Laura has been working with us on a freelance basis. She immediately hit the ground running, and used her three years’ experience liaising with clients, producing engaging content and securing big coverage wins to fit right in with the High-Rise way of working. This, in turn, made her the perfect candidate for an Account Manager role.
Laura graduated from the University of Essex with a First Class Degree in English Literature and Sociology, moved to Manchester from the London area (very wise!) and hasn’t looked back since. She has a PRCA Foundation Certificate under her belt, and importantly shares our commitment and passion for working with clients that all – in their various sectors – help build stronger communities.
Laura will be working across a range of clients including charity, professional service and technology providers, as well as working closely with Managing Director Helen Furnivall to raise High-Rise’s profile regionally and nationally.
“I’m so pleased to welcome Laura to the team”, says Helen. “It’s great that we’re celebrating new client wins and have been able to take on a new member of staff at such an uncertain time but we’re not taking anything for granted.
“We’re working harder than ever to give our clients exceptional strategic communications support. Given COVID-19, it’s more important than ever that PR budgets are used wisely and in a way that measurably supports strategic objectives.”
