Introducing our Trainee PR & Social Media Account Executive, Charlotte!

Hello, I’m Charlotte and I’m very excited to be joining High Rise as Trainee PR & Social Media Account Executive! I have recently graduated from the University of Sheffield where I studied English Language and Linguistics, which provided me with a passion for writing and reading, alongside journalism, advertising, and politics. As part of my course, I completed written work across a range of mediums including a research based dissertation, blog posts, and presentations. I am now looking forward to developing my writing skills in the context of PR and learn more about this exciting field. 


I also thoroughly enjoy communications and social media, including learning about new platforms and trends. Some previous experience I have includes creating content for university societies, as well as the cafes and pubs I have worked at. I’m eager to learn more about content creation and hoping to dive into some interesting projects. 

What I will bring to the team …

Besides my degree, I’ve also worked in hospitality and retail for many years, which taught me how to be adaptable, organised, and give great customer service. I’m hoping these skills will boost my career in PR and mean I can help provide meaningful and beneficial work to clients.  


Previously, I have volunteered as a mentor for young people, working with a charity that helps them to make confident and informed decisions about their future, such as higher education options. This experience required tact and diplomacy, and sometimes meant dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Working with charities and not-for-profit clients at High Rise is something I’m really looking forward to, and will find highly rewarding. 

A little bit about me …

Originally from Somerset, I moved to Manchester in August 2025 after completing my undergraduate studies in Sheffield. During my time at university, I also studied abroad in Australia for a year at the Australian National University, and had the opportunity to travel across the East Coast and South East Asia. In my free time I enjoy scouting out good coffee shops, going on runs, and reading on my kindle.
