Introducing our new Account Exec, Liv!
Hello!!! My name is Liv. Originally from Leeds, I spent the last four years in Sheffield before moving to Manchester late last year. I’m really excited to be joining the High-Rise team as an Account Exec.
I began my PR journey in my teenage years by undertaking work experience placements at a London-based publicity agency. Here, I worked across TV, Personal Publicity and Culture & Entertainment. I got the chance to work on shows for BBC, ITV and C4.
Experience here includes working on Fleabag, creating press packs for Joe Lycett, and writing press releases for Edinburgh Fringe.
What I’ll bring to the team…
I recently completed a Journalism, PR and Media degree at Sheffield Hallam, graduating with a 1st class degree and a PRCA award. During my second year, I also worked part time as a Social Media Assistant. In Year 3, I worked as an intern at a Sheffield-based agency where I gained invaluable experience – clients included Primary School Academy Trusts, Wealth Management agencies and Law Firms to name a few.
I also worked as a summer assistant for a freelance publicist, where I got the chance to work across the film industry. I supported with tasks in preparation for the release of Jungle Cry and assisted on the red carpet at the London Indian Film Festival – Gurinder Chadha made a surprise appearance – my hero!
After uni, I secured a job as a Graduate PR Executive at THG, where I worked on the consumer brands. This included Zavvi, IWOOT, PopInABox, VeryNeko and ProBikeKit – my proudest moments include securing coverage in Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Grazia and more!
I always knew I wanted to work in PR after growing up seeing a family member run a successful agency. This influenced my work experience choices and ultimately my degree and career path, so I’m really excited to be starting as an Account Exec.
A little about me
I have three younger siblings, including two brothers who are still in primary school. My weekends often consist of taking them to their football sessions – we are a huge football family! used to coach under 5’s and I support FC Halifax Town, so I go to home games when possible!
My passion is TV and Entertainment, especially comedy, so I always have some recommendations to pull out my sleeve… If you’ve not watched Stath Lets Flats, you must.
The move to High-Rise
After gaining experience both in-house and agency side, I have secured some great experience across a variety of clients/brands. This has helped me understand how to adapt to suit the client, at the same time as introducing me to a range of incredibly interesting people!
Following my move to Manchester in September (Northern girl through and through), I am excited to bring my passion for PR and liaising with many different people to High-Rise, and I can’t wait to learn all about our different clients!
