Public Relations and Media
High-Rise Communications are public relations and media experts with proven experience of raising our client’s profile with the right journalists and publications and handling even the most challenging breaking news situations.
The focus of our public relations services often involves working with clients that are delivering social value and helping to make positive change in their communities. This includes having many PR clients in the charity, social enterprise and arts and entertainment sectors.
While there are many public relations agencies to choose from, few share our focus on public relations aligned to clear organisational goals rather than achieving column inches for its own sake. We can support with all aspects of media relations and PR including writing and distributing press releases, securing comment pieces, media briefings, arranging photo calls and support with storytelling and case study promotion.
Our local, regional and national media contacts are second to none and include sector specialists. We combine our excellent relationships with journalists in both the consumer media and trade press with access to a real-time online media database ensuring our media contacts are always up to date and that we are missing no opportunities to secure useful PR coverage. Our sophisticated online media tracking system means we know exactly what press coverage has been achieved, where and when. If required, we can also offer competitor media tracking to ensure that no opportunities are being missed.
We will always look for news hooks that will make your story go further, including making the link between our client’s activities and current social issues and trends. For example, we worked with Laid Bare Theatre and their Value of Nothing production to tie in the play’s themes with the stigmatisation of people on benefits in the UK. We are currently working with Poet Kate Fox to promote her “Where There’s Muck There’s Bras’ tour, and also to raise her profile as a social commentator.
We often combine our expert media relations support with providing our clients with valuable media skills through bespoke PR media training tailored to their organisation’s individual needs and the level of experience of their spokespeople. Take a look at our media training page to see how High-Rise can provide you with the media skills and confidence to deal with the media effectively and professionally.

Public Relations case studies
We have been providing PR support to the People’s Powerhouse movement since its inception including advising the steering group on media strategy. Through strategic media activity we help to explain to key target audiences the change the movement hopes to achieve in the North by encouraging a shift in focus to people and communities. We have secured numerous items of coverage in national, regional and local press as well as in important business publications such as PSE News, Municipal Journal and the Local Government Chronicle. For examples of PR coverage secured see the links below:
DA Techs is a good example of how we can work with corporate clients to secure B2B press coverage. The Lancashire based company has rapid growth and expansion plans and so targeting the automotive and business press was particularly important. It was crucial to secure PR coverage in the automotive press to make sure suppliers and car retailers knew about the innovative services DA Techs provides which could potentially help them reduce their own costs. Securing coverage for DA Techs in the business press was also very important so potential investors were aware of the company’s rapid expansion plans and growth prospects.
We also arranged for the local MP to visit the company’s new unit and find out more about its expansion plans and how Brexit could potentially affect the business.
